Nice one mate, one thing I will say is its a little hard to read with that background on, unless its just my old age taking its toll. Might put people off?

Hi
Nic they come as a complete kit, but I should be able to take the sensor out and adjust the price accordingly.
Hopefully a TM member will be testing one shortly...
Cheers
Gavin :)

Hi,
No, completely stand alone. You only need a pos and neg to get it up and running.
You can feed it a MAP sensor signal and an RPM signal and data log it on a laptop with the software that comes with it.
There's full instructions for it up on the site now.
I've no idea how they got it all in that little gauge!
Cheers,
Gavin :)

well, I've now had the Vems gauge in for a couple of weeks now and i cant fault it.

by now i would have had to do upteen resets/code reloads on the lc1 and it also would have recallibrated itself a couple of times so it was reading bollocks.

this gauge just happily sits there displaying the lambda and egt and then passing a voltage on to the megasquirt for closed loop and datalogging. The displays easy to read too.

fitting was a breeze. the unit comes with heatproof cables, and even has a fuse in the powerlead. its literally connect 2 wires and turn the key on. If you want to measure EGT then you have to conect a K type thermocouple (2 wires that will hardly tax the mind), I used the one i already had in the exhaust from a cheap shit chinese egt gauge, but i will get another from gavin at some point to go into the ex manifold.

somthing that is probably worth doing though for anyone running megajolt is adding into the the power connector an output wire from pin 1 and grounding pin 9 to pins 13,14&15. you should then be able to do datalogs via the ecu as i am doing.

the only very minor niggle is when you turn the ignition on it displays lamda and egt deg c, you then have to cycle through to the display you want to see, in my case this just means pressing the button on the front once to get AFR and egt deg c, but it would be nice if it remembered what it was displaying last, but hey compared to the issues i was having i think i can live with that lol.

Great service from Gavin too. :)

Hi,
That's nice to hear, as I've not used one myself it's good to know they do the job well.
The display can be changed to start up on AFR using the software (MT based) that came with it :)
Cheers,
Gavin :)

ah can it?

i'll have a crack at that, tbh i didnt pay too much attention to the software except to change the output pin setting.

Cheers Gav,
