Hi,
Use a hole cutter. I know it sounds obvious, but the one you want is like a drum with teeth on the edge and a 6mm pilot drill in the middle.
Cheers,
Gavin :)

or if you can get hold of a hole punch, it's two parts that wind together with a bolt and cut a hole ( unsuprisingly) only any good on flat sheeet tho.

When using the hole cutter, get someone to spray water onto the area your cutting, prevents the paint from getting too hot and bubbling, you don't need to respray it just carefully touch in the edge with a small brush. *wink*

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

as robert says starret cuter 51mm best size

masking tape the work area up

this saves burning the paint

heres mine finished off with 6mm copper wire sheathing split

hope this inspires you

why is 51mm the best size?
i was gonna use a smaller one and just have more holes.
kind of like turbo phils

this is just my opinion stu

these 4 x 51mm holes reduced the engine block water temp by 10 deg on a hot summers day

you want a large surface area, there is not much room under the bonnet to accomadate this with the stays etc.... this is the best in my humble opinion

kinda borrowed from john flan in 1997 ish......*laughing*

each to their own :)

Yeah i know it was chavtastic....I can't take full responsibilty though. I had a wolfie incident which wrote off my standard bonnet, all i could get at short notice was that one for a tenner. :$:$:$

Mini13, yours sounds just like mine then, i was standing on all the shit to be able to take that photo, lol *happy*

now that i like!

you can see somthing behind it proving its not just for show. plus on an otherwise std bonnet it looks class.

i like the look of that too...but how sturdy is it?? I can only imagine being out and public, and some chic screaming she wants her picture taken next to it, plops her big 'ol arse up and there goes your hood. *frown* Any kind of bracing behind it?
