As Gavin stated. Only thing I can add is that heavy standing start sprints will not do it any favours.

BIR1 was fitted with a helical box and SC drops for as long ias Mark owned it. Seemed to cope OK, although it was worn when I rebuilt it with an SC kit. If you build it right, and tear it down to reset clearances every once in a while, I think you'll do fine.

52000 kms with pre A+ box and std drop gears, 4-pin diff and 2,95 gears. Still in pristine condition. No hard launches but lots of right foot on the road. Boost first at 10 psi, currently at 15 psi. |

At 8 psi the standard diff wont last long in my experience. Thats the Minisport 4 pin diff for sure which I've heard is OK. I'm a mediocre DIY mech and fitted it mine with the help of my Haynes manual. You could also try this DIFFERENTIAL PIN AND BUSHED PLANET WHEEL DIFF KIT as a slightly cheaper alternative http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=35923

To be honest i wouldnt bother Mini_UK save some money and just get a cross pin, the yearn for more power will come and then you will have to buy one anyway :) |
