Are you sure?

Our 'Streetfighter' lightweight doors are primarily intended for competition use and dramatically reduce weight by eliminating the drop glass, winder mechanisim and much of the inner door frame. The doors are then reskinned in aluminium and converted to sliding polycarbonate glazing a la MkI. Weight of a MkIII door can be as little as 5.5 kg compared to around 19kg for a normal door. Weight saving on MkI and II doors is not as dramatic, but the aluminium skin saves 3kg and removal of the door pockets and fitting polycarbonate glazing produces further weight savings.

My Mk1 doors only weigh 4Kg each now with alloy skins and inner pockets including widows, channels, handles etc etc. They are worth it BUT Minidoor co cant supply them any more as the bloke that made them died.
I may be producing a batch soon, Ill post up if and when I do..
paul

I seriously doubt it!

They are for my minus, i posed a thread the other week re grp ones, and got advised against it, decided to stick with the frames i have and use ally skins. I had found a set of ally window framed grp ones on e bay but computer went tits up at the last minute so I never put in a last minute bid, BUGGER!

Well Im a panel beater for Aston Martin and have been for nearly 17 years. I may have access to some equipment to produce some panels. Im looking at making myself a complete alloy front end. I already have alloy doorskins, bootlid (including frame) and bonnet.

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

Thats sounds sweet, are the door skins ones you fabricated or are they purchased items?
