I was on my way to work this morning, when I nailed it in 2nd and had the most awful crash and grind from the box! I managed to get it into a driveway to a vets before I came to a halt.

It's been running around 14psi for the last couple of months with a standard box, drops and diff, so I was inevitable really.

All of the gears still select, but there is no drive to the wheels, just a horrible noise. Could it be the diff?

Looks about right. I think that there's a few teeth left, as I can get a split second of drive until it grinds again.

Oh well, out comes the wallet again!

I think that I might use this chance to insert one of those indestructible 'Hoggy' boxes that I've been hearing about.

Glad I put that straight cut 3.76:1 in my box now ive seen that. The pinion is small on the 3.76, it must be tiney on the 4.33, all that torque with an LSD, the pinion would want to walk over the crown wheel

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

No mate running an xpin diff and I have only just bought the CWP, so no you cant have it

LOL

The box is on the 1400 at the minuit but it was intended for the 16v. Finishing off those things that should have been done on the 16v when i actualy had the fucker in the car!!! LOL

Oh and I really wish i had left those sump gaskets out, the drops are bloody noisey!! Jackman has the same gears but its not as bad for some reason, and i think its that.

Sorry off at a tangent.

Here's the teeth that made it out of the sump.

Anyone fancy guessing what they belong to?
