Is it true that having a ceramic turbine wheel limits you to about 15 psi boost?

i'm pretty sure a magnet won't stick to most turbine wheels steel or ceramic. el potter do you know what the turbo is from or have you got the part number to check? Edited by tommyb on 21st Feb, 2008. |

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder. On 15th Aug, 2011 robert said:

ceramic bearings would be a better bet i think. alot less drag so a bigger blower trim could be used, but they are damn expensive. Ceramic ball bearings and a caramic turbine wheel are 2 different things, but trying to achieve the same goals ( freer spinning wheels ) 9.85 @ 145mph

they are made of a non metalic material so it won't stick, also ceramic turbines don't have a nut on the end as its friction welded to the shaft instead. |

heres pic of a garrett ceramic turbine from a skyline for comparison you can see the 12 point 'nut' which isn't a nut and is actually part of the wheel itself
