hi, can anyone advise if an ultralight flywheel would be benificial to my build?

Yes, get the ultralight, and go for a grey spring, bit overkill for 6/7 psi, but you will not stay that low in future.

cheers.how about the head?would it be worthwhile having the unleaded seats put in and porting and polishing it?thanks |

the head makes a BIG! diffrence with race valves etc......... unleaded stops you from adding lead replacement additives thats all

obviously the pistons and head are standard spec, so putting it together as it is. build is costing a fortune so will uprate pistons/head in future.

i will be porting and polishing the head. if you lighten the flywheel dand have them ballenecd together?

sorry, lost a bit of the last post. - if you ligen the flywheel do you have to remove the crank and have them balenced together? |

Balancing the lot is the best way to go... take them all in and balance 1132cc Turbo ~120 bananas ATW - Fun Fun Fun

10psi on standard components is fine with an intercooler.

the engine is standard cr. im not worried about the quality of the standard parts, but what they can withstand at standard cr.

benross, do you mean the crowns are thick for machining deeper dish for more cr? how about other a+ pistons? i have an allegro engine, and a few 1275 mayfair ones. |

as i said im not looking for a moded head at the moment. i realise this is the way to go but cannot justify spending any more money at the moment. i will be happy with 100bhp, maybe a little more from my 1st turbo engine.

yes the bushes will work ok with the SW5 cam, but...... in genrall!!! i would not bother in a force induction engine its not worth the effot ... some may disagree
