what is an ideal final drive ratio to use on a fast road turbo engine? will be running 110-120 bhp hopefully at 7 psi of boost. use the car for road, including a fair few motorway trips.

What wheels are you using? although it only makes a small difference. I personally am a fan of the 3.1, these can be found in 998s A+ boxes from minis. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

The A+ metro boxes had a lower final drive (can't remember what, it was in a thread the other day). Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

cheers. il have to have a look around for one. a pain as iv rebuilt the gearbox, and diff with 4 pin etc in it. have a nearly new 998a+ init in the garage, would be a shame to strip just for the diff. do all 998a+ mini units use the same diff? ta |

Unless theyve been changed since standard yeah! Actually the A+ 998 came with two diffs, 3.44 and 3.1, 3.1s are more common in my experience, but some have lots with 3.44s. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
