do you not need to add in the central exhaust pipe in to the LCB bit then in to the turbo? Delfinatly go with a Mega jolts set up will be cheaper more than likly. |

yes im joining it at the y piece where the 2 outers meet each other, theres enough space between them. I might go for mega jolt in the future but as I said its cost me nothing so dont want to chuck big money at it |

I will be very interested in what ML do to the dizzy for £35. IMO it is a total waste of money. If you want to do it on the cheap then just weld the dizzy and set it to about 25 deg. Then save up for a megajolt system, I can't emphasise how important this is. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

there is a thread somewhere on about plenums. its not quite as straight forward as you may think as it needs to have the restrictor ring in it.

everyone I have spoken to about ML dizzys on n/a engines say on rolling road they have gained bhp I dont no of anybody who has had a turbo 1 off them yet. I have my Dad on the case of the restrictor measured to exact measurements |

On a turbo you need to retard the ignition as the boost rises, a dizzy can't do this. Yes having a dizzy swung for a tuned engine will makes bhp gains, but not as much as having mapped ignition. Honestly for the money there is no argument. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

what kind of money would I be looking at for megajolt, if its not to expensive I will have to lock dizzy then buy megajolt at a later date. |

there is plenty of advice on maps on the site have a search around. A magajolt can cost as little as £100. All I am saying though is that ML won't be able to make a dizzy any better then just locking it (do a search) for £35. So lock your dizzy for now on your budget and then save up the extra £75 to the job right. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

I was being realistic, after you have the megajolt, you need the EDIS, coil pack, sensor, trigger wheel, cables, connectors etc it will be knocking on the door of a 100notes. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

doesnt sound that bad then. Doesnt the metro turbo dizzy retard when it comes on boost, if so I could possibly have that modded to 998 spec (its just a thought) I no I will end up with megajolt in the end it might be worth looking into tho |

It may give beter flow into the turbo, I dont no, its alot simpler to put it in at the y piece for the outer 2 branches im going to get it on and see. Some people have said the lcb may well crack under the heat I did think this when I started it, but the lcb flows alot beter than the old cast iron mini manifold, if it cracks or doesnt make much bhp then I will have to either go down the cast manifold route or make an adaptor for a metro turbo manifold and box the bulkhead |

'J' Pipe from the metro turbo manifold is your best option (no bulkhead mods needed). The setup you have WILL crack.

Ive finally got round to welding the 3rd branch on the lcb my dad has finished the plenum theres just the fuel pressure regulator pipe to be put on, I now have my very own pressure regulator so all the bits are coming together. Im waiting for my mate jack to give me my fuel tank with the right feed and return in or a tank so I can put an 8mm return and a 10mm feed in. Im going to start plumbing up the oil feed and return this week hopefully, so progress has been made,I cant wait to get this kit in and running

i might be wrong but i thought that your return should be larger if not the same size as your feed.

the thing with the metro turbo pump is it has a 10mm feed then sends fuel to the front of the car via a 8mm. I think its so the pump gets plenty of fuel to make the pressure it needs, the metro turbo pump is also fitted to the astra gte which runs upto 5bar of fuel pressure. |

what size do you guys run From what Ive researched 8mm feed and return are usual but the pump has got 10mm on the low pressure side so I will feed the pump 10mm then run a 8mm feed to the pressure regulator |
