Get a job! I know that sounds like a wise ass answer but you are better to do a liitle of something and get paid than do a lot of nowt for nowt. Prospective employers also like to see you are keen by working in a job that is not your field but a job nonetheless rather than waiting for the goose that laid the golden egg to land on your knee.Whats your field? Try and get something even part time that is mildly related it keeps you in earshot when the good jobs do come along..........Gees I think I am turning into an old guy.....Good luck

I have to say that in engineering there are loads of jobs and nowhere near enough engineers to fill them.

But I agree with Jim and others here. Any job is better than no job.

Loads of jobs about in Civil Engineering.

I keep getting offered proper senior/management type jobs by my clients. Real shortage if they want me as permanent staff !

I gave up the offshore work a couple of years ago when the family started. I was always permanent staff, but commissioning so on different vessels all the time.

id happily go back to Mcdees, worked there for 6 years, put me through uni and paid for the mini, the work was shit, but the banter was good, not to mention the hot schoolies who worked there. would rather do that than be sat on my arse on the dole, even if the money was crap.

Unfortunately maccy d`s is a franchise, so you could get a decent one or a crap one.

Personally i would go and work in a super market if i dident have a choice, my current employment alongside other things, while i continue education.
