i will get some pictures hopefully tomorrow and possibly write up a list of everything that it comes with.

looking for £140 ONO and not really in a rush to sell so wont move too much on the price, unless you a member that i think is worth it! haha

pictures for the people who are interested.

Tim, the site i was talking to you on the phone about was www.efiminis.olicentral.com

miniboo (on there and here) i believe is currently building a k100 998 would be well worth a look for you mate.

now then in the pictures there is one cam retainer/cap thing missing but it is in the garage somewhere, however its abit messy in there at the moment.

i will clean it out tomorrow and find the cap. it is in there somewhere.

even has the BMW ecu. whether that helps or not i doubt but its there!

This is not easy to do. Considerably more work than fitting it on a 1275. You need a big overbore and shift all the studs to clear the valves.

Just be warned.

Is that right? How many studs do you move on the 1275? By big overbore what do you mean? Finally are you talking about the 8v or the 16v? I was under the impression that the 8v on a 998 was possible without too much of a problem. I don't think anybody has a 998 running do they?

Of the nine studs you can retain the middle front three on the 1275.

On the 998, Miniboo has offset bored +0.080" and still had to relieve the block.

I've moved the head towards the alternator by 1.5mm and am having it bored +0.120". My drawings/calcs show that it will clear.

I'm talking K100 8v heads.

1st to provide proof of a running Bimmy Conversion!

Brisbane ,Australia

I`ve done it 2 different ways on the small bore donks

The first one i offset bored it at approx 45deg angles towards the exhaust side (& in towards the centre for the centre 2 bores & outwards for the end 2) & bore it out to 120thou,,, all clears well,,, BUT!!! the problem then is that you really shouldn`t drill all the exhaust side stud holes too deep (10mm max) because they break through into both the water passages & the side plate area,,, not good,,, trust me on that one *smiley*

It`s ok tho,,, i fixed it *smiley*

the 2nd one i offset the whole head as Paul S said , towards the alternator & only bored it to 100thou, but still offset the bores to help line up the bores with tha chambers length wise.

It`s all good doing it both ways,,, just that the 2nd way is far better & safer & if you`re doing it the 1st way then just don`t drill too deep for your rear head stud holes & yes offset the bores at approx 45 deg angles & out to 120 tho for valve to block clearance.

I`ve made up some plenum chambers to run an SU carb on the end too *smiley* This way we can make up ome pretty cheap as chips small bore donks, swap 2 leads around, bung a single inch & 3/4 SU on, red spring & OA6 needle & drive away happy as larry with a small bore Bimmer twinky shopping trolley *wink*

It doesn't sound like that much more work if you only keep three studs on a 1275. The reason I am intereted is that any engine we create will have to be 998 (more or less) so limited scope for overbores. We haven't run out of power yet though so some thoughts for the future.

Too right about drilling at the back of the block:
