Hi All,

I've seen a few threads of late where some of you have been having clearance issues on the pot joint and the angle of the downpipe.

So over Christmas i disapeared into the workshop for a tinker and i've changed the turbine elbow and the downpipe. The changes should eliminate any issues in fitting from now on. All kits supplied from now on will be the new kind. If anyone has any issues with fitting any existing sets please let me know.

I'm also going to have bottom brackets on the shelf in the next couple of weeks.

I've normally got stocks of gaskets, oil feeds, water feed banjos and bolts, etc for the T2.

I'm looking at doing an actuator and bracket, but can't find a sensible priced actuator from a reliable source. At the moment the avonbar looks good at £72. I've been offered a standard new renault 5 unit for £75 from a trade supplier! I just cant figure the expense of these things.

Any other bits you guys think i should offer ????

I cant see how they can justify £75 for a diaphram and spring in a can!

GT17 / GT20 ? Lets get a consensus on what everybody would want.

i would like a gt20 one my self :) but dont the gt20 and gt17 use the same exhaust connection to manifold? could make a manifold for the both and then diff down pipes (if its diff)

Bat got a manifold for you. mail me and we'll sort it out.

I been sat looking at maps for the last hour or so. Looks like Garrett have changed the way they list the range a little, no more gt17 listed. But i'm coming down on the side of the gt15.

Does anyone have an old used one i can borrow for a bit??

What about a bracket for standard T3 type actuators?

I know my T25 had some weird small actuator, does the renualt have something equally unique?

-31 T3 type actuators are readily avaible 2nd hand and as long as the spring isnt shagged are good enough for what most people on here need.

there is nothing wrong with a A-series that a turbo can't fix.

t2/25 actuator is a fair bit smaller so would maybe make it easier. i've got a forge t2 one.

i'd certainly buy a bracket, as i havent got round to making myself a decent one!

I think on the actuator bracket i could have it with a fair size actuator mounting point so its big enough for the t3 style but the smaller t2 style would also go on. What you think?

I'm also thinking of offering the following.

Turbo turbine housing flounges for T2 and GT20's.

Range of tube in mild steel most likely in range of bends to allow home builders to mig together a system at home. Not just mini either.

What you guys think?

I,m just trying to fit an Avonbar t3 actuator to a t2 so am interested in this.I dont really want to go the turbine housing route either.

the tube sounds good to me. maybe you could include some manifold flanges for the a-series?

would it be common bends for manifold making i take it? (kinda stupid question!!!!!) like short tight bends etc etc

yes im thinking of having ther flanges for t2 and gt20 maybe more style.

The tube i was thinking i could do maybe a kit with selction of tight, medium bends and some straights. Then have the individual bends available separately as well.

I thought about going the route of making a bracket for the avonbar unit as it seems sensibly priced compared to what else ive been offered. Whats the Avonbar unit like????

A 3 bolt flange and flared pipe to fit the GT17 would be good as my creation isn't ideal!

Could anyone lend me a turbine housing for a week or so of say a gt 17 and 20????

The Avonbar actuator is 80mm diameter but with identical fixing studs/shaft to the T2 actuator.
