right, it's starting to get on my tits now. Everything is new, it's adjusted right and the system is bled with no air left in the lines.

try starting the engine with it in first and your foot on the clutch. Just don't try it too many times and make sure you've got a clear runway On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

i'm sure we had similar issues with keans when we first built it, spent a good 2 days trying to get the clutch working even though it was all new and adjusted fully.

ok, how about pumping the clutch pedal like mad and then holding it down with a lump of wood against the seat and leaving it over night? it bleeds the air out |

can you get someone to press the pedal while you measure how much the release bearing plunger moves?

clutch plate is deffo the right way around. I was paranoid about that when I put it all back last time. I will measure how far it moves tomorrow morning when it is light again

You've clearly checked a lot. But now it is time to remove things. I suspect your primary gear is not spinning on the crank personally.... On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

could be on the right track if its the floating bush and it hasn't got the chamfer on it to clear the crank radius thing. On 20th Oct, 2015 Tom Fenton said:

Think he means the ring thats chamfered on one side that goes behind the primary gear (pretty sure it goes behind the primary gear, dunno why ive forgotten!).

i know i had an issue years ago when those floating primary bushes came out, they didn't have a chamfer on them to clear the radius on the crank that they sit against.

Got thinking last night. could an overmachined backplate cause these issues?
