If you can't get wellseal, I have had good results with black RTV silicone in the past, this is more easily obtainable, and FAR better than poxy blue Hylomar (did I mention I hate hylomar?)

i used Hylomar some 20 odd years ago when it first came out on large haulage & gearboxes

The factors I use in Rotherham sell it off the shelf. The only other place I have ever been able to buy it was my engine machinist who bought it from the wholesaler. From memory it is expensive about £10 per tube, although it does go a long way. I have had the same tube for 5 years and use it regularly. It is best applied with a small brush I find.

picked up wellseal yesterday as no one in swindon said they could suply it i drove to newbury and back (50 miles) hope its worth it lol
