A rating of 130 I assume you mean H rated - is that maximum continious speed.

175/50/13 A008's were V rated, I presume the 10's are the same? H is upto 112 if I remember correctly..........

Yes, my 175/50 13's are V rated, up to 149mph if my memory serves me correctly?

H rating is up to 130mph.

how have other people found the differences between 008's and 032r's?

ive just popped my 008s on the front and they feel awful, its skittery and the wheels light up on every slight undulation (sp?) on the road, thats on just 8psi

I suppose it is just increases in technology, after all I can remember when the A008's first came out in the early 90's? Maybe 1992 or something like that? So they are 14-odd year old design now.
The A032R's are maybe 4 or 5? years old?

You are very correct in saying they don't last as long mind you, but I'd say most of us don't do sufficient miles in our cars to worry about that too much......

True Alex, but the A008R's are not a huge amount better than the A008's, I know, I have used both!

my only experience of a008r was on a lotus Elan S2 racer... and they were measurably quicker than a008s.

But your right about the technology A008s are old now.

also the 008's are 4 years old, but they have been used in that time, although i imagine they could of gone off slightly

i got 3000 miles out of my 032r's before being kindly asked by the police to remove them, that includes 30 drag runs (actually i think its more than that, 41?), i imagine the tyre life could be increased dramatically with a little care and rotating them every 500 miles or so

you should give them a go matt, theyre an awsome tyre!!!

Alex i didn't even no about the a008r tyres, do they fit 10"s and has any one got a pic of them? just wondered what there like.

As for a 10 inch wheel a 032r is streaks ahead of 008's.

I have also driven 032r's on a very wet track at pace and they do the job very well indeed.

Due to my new 13in experiences the 048's i use are fanfookintastic, the 539's i qualified on on sat knocked 4 seconds a lap off my pace.

IMO to summerize, as far as performance goes and NOT this girly how long they last rubbish it would be Yoko 32R's on a 10 and the 175/50/13 048 for the bigger wheel.

Have people got the brakes to stop you at 130MHP?...dought it!

Good info Jon, though for someone that does many miles in my car over the season, "how long the tyres last" isn't a girly issue to me, the less you take your polished alloys to the tyre fitters the better, as they never come back in the con you sent them in!
