Philc the advantages of thesse are that they are tiny compared to the original alternator, have a higher output (I believe standard is 22 amps),
Nar the very old alts were around the 20amp region, the Lucas A127's start from 45 amp and go up to 60amp on Im sure mine was a 22 Amp, I guess the Mpi's etc needed larger alternators because there are alot more electrical gubbins to power. Pete, the pulleys are removable, so I can't see why not if you've got the facilities to adapt the pulley you want to fit. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

I found a source for the 40A alternator plugs. But its going to take a week or so to get them. Does anyone want a 40A alternator?

that would do the job, but you would need to replace the pulley Team www.sheepspeed.com Racing
