The before picture is actually quite an old one (05) so theres a number of differences, but your all right so far

God knows how many hours there are in the car. I started it on the aug bank hol weekend last year. I havent worked on it solidily apart from around easter, i didnt do much on it in december, but its had pretty much every weekend and monday since, and alot of evenings

The intercooler is a custom thing that i got done on the cheap, i was hoping i could of got the grill on, but it hasnt quite happened, id have to have the grill poking out slightly at the bottom, which doesnt seem to suit my car (but strangely on phils and a few others ive seen its not immediately obvious whats going on)

Its taken a lot longer than i was hoping, and cost a bit more, but its not bad. Ive got a few more finishing off things to do, but i just want to drive the damned thing now

Any chance of having the contact to get one of those intercoolers made?

I was thinking about getting a forge one but they are a bit expensive.

Nic what compressor did you use for that ie size? oil or ptfe rings? what spraying gear?

Mine spits an odd dot of water or oil now and then and leaves little imperfections in the paint. What filters do you use on the ait line? or have you got a dryer?

Any advice is good

Have you used non opening windows in the back so you could fit perspex windows ? or is it to be in keeping with the the de chromed look ?

BTW - I took my buddy VTEC Pete out for a spin this weekend, and even though I am running her in, he gave it a name, the "Brocket"...cause I'm a brocket maaannn, nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah....

i can give you the dimensions of it, and the company that did it. However the guy i know that worked there has left now and so it wouldnt be so easy to do

To stop the water droplets you want to drain the compressor once in a while (or everytime you spray), its from the compressed air cooling in the cylinder.
You can get filtery type things that remove most of the water from the air that live on the compressor/in the air line/gun inlet.
If you still struggling just hold a paper towel around the fitting at the end of the gun

I used a 150L 14cfm compressor (to much for this, but i have plans to use it on a few cars).
I tried a gravity fed gun but didnt really get on with it, and painted the out side with a normal suction gun. The inside i did with a really small gravity gun that i got for £10 from a local motorfactors

i havent got a dryer, only the sun

i got rid of the side windows a couple of years ago (its an old pic) i never wanted opening windows but i couldnt get hold of any seals, i managed to get hold of some, and later got plastic windows (in 2005)

To hold on the front ive fitted some anchor plates to the hinge panel, basically theyre nuts you can fix the to the car (pg 392 of the demon thieves catalogue, bottom left corner)

i liked it before and i like it more now mate, looks great well done! looking forward to inspecting it at avon.

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

hows the ball bag? made be laugh were you wire brushing the car naked?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
