Are you planning on supporting the tube as it passes the head at all?

Looks like it's going to be neat mate.

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Second this on the fit up - Xcel mate well done. I'm planning to use a fiat intercooler which looks a similar size to yours. For those who asked you before - the Seat and VW use a side mounted intercooler on their GTI and this works with an additional fan (I think). I'll be using stainless to pipe mine, I've seen a side mount done like this and it even left room for a servo but this was on a car running 8 psi so in truth I'm not sure if the intercooler was really needed. Good luck.

Lovely fit up mate. Would love to know if its effective as I'm going to do similar with a Seat/VW core and modded header in that position.

looks cool, you could fit a small bit of ducting to scoop the air into the face f the cooler for added bonus. this cooler is very similar to the nissan pulsar GTIR that cooler mounts ontop on the engine, similar size but alot thinner, good for motors up to 350bhp too !!!

Very nice.

I suggest putting a 'Caution Hot' label on that front pipe. Ouch!

Hey guys,

sorry i have not given any more info on this but i have not had it on the rolling road yet (booked for this Sat) once i have done it i will know for sure how it is performing.
however i can say that after i tuned it at home last week and got it running very well i took it for a spin and took some intake temp readings, now before the cooler on a 25 degree day on 15psi the intake temp was going up to 112 degrees, now it is winter so the days are not very warm here but it was around 15 degrees and i was running around 15psi and the intake temp never went above 32 degrees when on boots and engine at normal op temp around 85 to 90 coolant temp, so i am very happy with it at thsi stage.

this sat i will have it tuned with the megajolt and the mixture settings and while on the dyno i will also take some intake temp readings.

and a Vid or 2
