Hi,
You have got something strange!
Press print screen. Then open paint, click edit, click paste. Save as xyz.jpg, job done!

When I plug in my megajolt I get the dreaded yellow explanation mark...

Hi,
I'd put money on that big yellow question mark being your problem.
I think the reason you've not got "ports" listed is the driver for the usb adaptor hasn't installed properly, did it come with a cd?

what? i have a IBM thinkpad T42 (2006) infront of me with a serial port.. loads of new laptops still have them.

sorry to use your post Roger *tongue*, just making a point that a bunch of new units still use these and also have enough USB ports. *wink*

Bat your my hero! Your right I didn't install the driver for the serial/USB adapter!! I set that up then tried it and it came up with an error message saying my config software isn't compatible (I'm using 3.2.1) so I tried 3.2.0b4 and it works! Great! Thanks for all your help TM peoples! Pitty it's too dark and cold to work out there now.
