sounds to me like a 2.9 would be a ideal, my thou had that and that sat at 80 at 4000 rpm and managed 102 at mid 5's (down a hill)

Hi,
I think the old Mini Mayfairs had them. They do 20 MPH per 1000rpm in 4th.
