mine is a little diffrent to the miglias.

maniflow stage 2 lcb that does not rejoin at the y peice, two pipes go to reverse maniflow megaphone silencers then to the two backboxes mounted in the centre.

my modified rc40 system failed a noise test.

stage 2 maniflow without the reverse megaphone silencer failed a noise test.

this one is 98 point something.

Miglias don't use Maniflow Megaphone silencers. They use 1 7/8" Rover ones or were they 1.625"?

this thread has gone off on some what of a tangent.

it appears that maniflow are favoured for thier down pipes and manifolds however play mini is favoured for the rest.

Not so sure, I couldn't get the (Maniflow) downpipe from Avonbar in 2" unless it was mild steel. No-one seems to do a stainless 2" downpipe so I'm making my own.

As for the rest, well the link pipe can't really vary between manufacturers, and I went Fletcher for my back box. I found two good comments on that make using the search button and contradictory comments between Maniflow and PlayMini backboxes.

However, it will be many months before I know if I was wise in my choice......

Hi,
I'd imagine it to be something to do with the tuned length of the exhaust system?
Cheers,

if you look at a mini spares stage two manifold and a maniflow stage 2 manifold

both lcb`s.

the manifold for the centre section is a bigger bore eg buldged in the pipe then goes back to a normall bore.

i suspect a better design.

Not at all. Miglia Exhaust as that way because they HAVE yo use a specific Rover silencer. If they had the choice, they'd use something completely different!

The Miglia exhausts are rubbish. If you fit these you don't know what you're doing or why.

i dident think they are bad, they seem okay with my 1293 flowing through them.

so the conclusion is that they are shite and i should change them for something else.

they were the only decently flowing ones that i could find that would keep the noise levels down.

ill be hitting the strip with it in 2010 how lenient are they on the 101 db reading thing at drag strips?

Cranleigh, surrey

mine passes all tests and flows enough for 180bhp, i have two very cut down rc40's, so its nice and quiet. If it flows that much i'm leaving it alone. Just because something is expensive (miglia system) doesn't mean its ideal for your (general) setup?

it wasent that expensive for me.

a mate of mine picked up the bits and he gets a fair wack of discount.

all in all it probably cost me less then 200 pounds.
