Started on the body prep over the past few days, as it wasn’t too long ago since I last did the paint it will just be flatted back and any suspect areas exposed and repaired as necessary.

Half the car now flatted back, long lonely days sat in the garage sanding.. what fun.

And the prep for the inside.. Still work in progress. :$

The engine is now all in apart from the intercooler. *smiley*

on supports from the subframe on rubber joints. it will also be fixed at the top.. this will become apparent later in the build.

Looks good Mark.

Im due to make my rad and I/C mounts next on my build, have had a play with some positions and its going to be really tight!! The only way I can fit both in is having the rad mounts on the bottom of the subframe cross member and have it tilted fwd slightly to get a fan in behind!

Othewise its going to hit the alternator on mine, and the I/C is half out of the air flow.

Right pain in the buttocks!

Been a while since my last update however I have the week off work with the intention to get as much done on the car as possible.

Started painting today.. i forgot what a pain in the ass it is painting a car at home... you quickly run out of space. And if like me, get in a right mess.

This is the first (and hopefully the last) time I paint a welded in cage; it’s by far the most challenging part to paint, I keep finding missed parts or runs! *angry*

So as at the end of today it’s in primer, and looking good, should start to apply some colour tomorrow.

Will post pics soon.
:)

Pics of this weeks progress.

easy so far.. at this point i was still sane.

Happy with this, but finding out that im a bit fastidious, and slowly loosing the plot, chasing paint reactions, missed patches and f-in runs.

after a hard days graft, i finally saw some grey, really happy with the colour.

just a few small patches to sort then on to the roof.. black or white ummm.
