Well. that was a succesfull outing as Tom pointed out,

as usual the Don behaved faultlessly as usuall, and after identifying/diagnosing my and the cars inability to launch, i made the alterations and replaced one or two components, to have the car take off like it used to do in the early days,

i hade three runs on petrol alone.
12.1 and 12.2 , these were taken in the right hand lane that had 0-60 mph timing , these were 3.6 and 3.7 secs respectively

the third was 11.66 , which i initially suspected as a timing glitch , as i say a 1.4 secs 60 ft, a bit chunk of time saved at this point results in big saving along the way,

now onto gas , but struggling off the lins with what i was told sounded like a missfire/flat sounding engine. turned out to be me no purging the nitrous lines so suffered over fueling initially,
it was poor through 1st and into 2nd , at this point i thought something was amiss, then it cleared up and off i went, ran 11.3 at 126mph, time lost at the launch, with mid nitrous power settings.

then it was the runoffs , so Tom said so it was a bit more serious, the bug i was to run against had beatemn me last year due to poor launch , also he had run a full .3 secs quicker in the quals, so it was going to be a tall order to beat him, but start line traction was fooking good so i had a chance,

i adjusted the nitrous accordingly,

as he'd ran quicker quall than me he had lane choice, [which pissed me abit ] so had to settle for the left , seamingly the worst of the two as most rubber was in the righ lane,thatnks to the above Audi..

so now its serious , i want to beat him a bit of revenge for last year and to score my point,

now we've both tyre warmed, he moves forward pre stage i do the same , then both into full stage, , at this point you know the cheif starter will not havew us hanging about burning down, and in then i see 4 ambers and bury the throttles as i pass the shristmas tree i see no red light thank god, now i'm pinned in my seat as i glance across almost imediatly , and fuck me he looks to be behind me, but he can't be its a beetle and they go like stink off the line,
well hes diffo behind me but only a bumder length, so i give it the full beans through second , glance a cross, i can just see him on my rear , into top and i'm gone and he's history,



over the line in 10.85 @ 126.9 mph, , i was celebrating as i crossed the line i can tell you, happy, i'll say i was,

as i turned off the track at the finish i noticed the rear temp gauge off the clock,

oh bollocks head gasket i thought , got back to the pits to find my alternater hanging off once again attatched to the water pump lug that had cracked off, .[ twice now thats happened,.lol.

hers a break down of the run,.

1.5108 secs 60 ft.
6.9837 secs 1/8 mile @ 100.48 mph,
10.8588 secs 1/4mile @ 126.81 mph.

AT LAST!!!>lol.

10.8 my god, did you have your eyes shut for the whole time?! i would have lol.

it will be intresting to see the don into the 11`s.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!
