If you are talking about the pulley in kit 2, then yes similar but not the same.
These will be £100 including the bracket.

Both kits will be supplied with the same bracket design. This newly designed bracket now includes a support stabilising ring. This holds the shank of the sensor firm designed to stop movement, whilst still allowing for some fine tuning adjustment during installation.
The bracket and stabilising ring will be cut on a water-jet to ensure consistency in the fit and finish. The tab on the bracket is threaded and the bolt supplied will include a nylon lock nut to lock the ring in place.
The test bracket shown in the picture is in 4mm, the stabiliser is in 7mm. The sensor now feels rock solid.

Thanks for the advice and we welcome any feed back.

You say that you are selling them but when I looked into to buying a kit from here, it would seem that you have to 6 months or more for your and tom's kit and then you only make it if you feel like it. Tom is only only making the kit now because I have started selling my kits.

Read again, at no time have a tried to sell these , Tom does these in batches, when he can fit them into his scedule, i once offered to help the shortfall out by taking the pressure off Tom, but i didn't need to ,

How can you say it tack when you have not seen or fitted one of the brackets or wheels. This has not been made in a somebody's back shed. It has been on very modern cnc machines.

TACK ,as in "deplomacy" i dont give a monkeys fuck what its made on, . i once had a chat witha twat who run a big machine shop , he was asking what tolerence i worked to with my flywheels , i suggested a couple of thou, he sniggered , said he worked to zero, about two weeks later he turned up a couple of stainless brake disks a good friend was going to use on his racer, after measuring them up they had 0.007 runout, so much for perfection, , he was and always will be a wanker in my book,

So how do you apply for the Fast Carl Loyalty card then... (I couldn't resist) :) :) Sounds like Steve d could do with one.

I would rather wait 6 months for toms than get this one any quicker.

I dont see that extra tab making any differance there is a roation opportunity on that bolt still. what feels rock solid in your hand is a whole different story to being rock solid under the bonnet of a bone shaking mini down a country road!

I don't even see this bracket as a competitor to mine, if folks think this is up to the job then let them go buy it.

That so called "stabilising ring" will achieve the sum total of nowt, whether it is made on a cnc-arse-licking-laser-jet-space-rocket or by Dennis the Menace with gardening tools.
It seems you have clearly shown in posting a picture of that as your "improvement" that you have completely misunderstood where the failure point is and the direction of the restraint needed to avoid it.

So, why do you encourage him to improve it then?

Let the guy sell his stuff here. If you Tom feel that this is so inferior to this, then I guess you both are happy. You cover diversified parts of the buyers market. Just like Huyinday and Mercedes.

Shut up! If you edit this you're a nazi!

Got to agree its turned into a bit of boys club thing and very school yard, not something you expect of TM forum, that prides its self on its ability to be technical, and a bit more grown up.

I think SteveD has done well not to get wound up.

not very gentlemanly suppose both myself and Vegard are going to get banned now for speaking out...

On a technical note, I would think some adjustment of the sensor position would help align the sensor correctly. I would think there might be a bit of tolerance block to block???

Just looking at the pic, SteveD it could be used to get the sensor in the correct position and then zap the two parts together with a welder. I think I'm interpreting Toms comments that the sensor could slip down? this would stop that??

Bit harsh and not very professional im my opinion.

If you dont want to buy one of his products, dont buy one. But dont go overbored and slate it and him.

I've never met you Carl so wont judge, but you sound like a right arrogant prick sometimes.

Reading this has pissed me off a bit, the guy is planning on making some bits for people in the "community" to buy, just as Tom is with his wheels/sensor brackets, and JF with his modded I/C pipes.

Why can't Steve do what he wants and be allowed to sell what he makes like other people on here, without being pummled with what I would class as insults.

If you think what he's making is shit, then how is it a risk to the other people selling the same sort of bits? Leave it up to other people to decide which is a better buy, and don't comment at all. If you feel the need to say anything, perhaps constructive criticism wouldn't go amiss.

Fair enough you seem to be a professional with regards to the bits you make, and you have a great car, but it doesnt really give you the right to completely kane people willy nilly.

It's a bit childish really, me and my mates conkers are bigger and harder than anyones, so you can fuck off with yours.

OK, my 2p....

On one hand I agree with Vegard, Gr4h4m, Ben. and richminiturbo.

It's different, I don't like the bracket - even the improvement doesn't really address the problem - but I do like the trigger wheel. I like it a lot, it achieves something I tried to do and failed.
But I'm not in the market for any as I've made my own (different to everyone elses), but I see no problem in the person trying to fill a hole in the marketplace. There seems to be quite a waiting list for the "others".

On the other hand, Carl has a very valid point about people just registering on a forum to sell stuff.
Forums (especially one as technical as this) are for sharing information, not just a free advertising space for companies.
Not that I have anything against "companies" being on the forum - there are at least two I can think of who post regularly and are mostly well liked by TM members BUT, they participate, they don't just use the forum as a space for free advertising.

That, I think, is where the problem started.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

totally agree with rod on this one. i think that everyone has a valid point but have gone to extremes one way or another.

i think that the improvement that was talked about was in the effect of a "tube" for the sensor to slide through like on Toms rather than a thicker peice of metal to baulk it all up abit.

personally i will be waiting for Toms bracket but i dont see anything wrong with you selling on here if you contribute!

people coming to the forum and just stick up thier products and only get involved in topics about the products/promoting thier products is bang out of order IMO.

I think this topic has turned very petty and thats not like TM.
