EDIT - I should add that is an unfair generalisation if it applied to the younger members of TM too, but seems a very common problem on the "other" forums.

Right then, Ian and I have come to an agreement where I will get my money back and he will get his crank back with no hard feelings.

I think that Ian would benefit from a second chance on this forum if he wants it. He is interested in making his Mini a bit quicker and obviously this forum would benefit anyone in his position.

Hes a youngun and got hot under the collar and said things without thinking first but Ive had a lengthy chat with him now through TMF PMs and he actually sounds like a decent fella.

I must admit I gave him until the end of the weekend before I named him, but got pissed off and did so earlier which led to the abuse so thats my fault really.

Im considering the issue closed
