I was thinking of using a drum setup on the rear.

Have a look on the GTM forum, there are basically two set ups, with either some reverse A arms, or the standard mini set up, with some arms to lock off the steering. They both have pros and cons. I've got one set up on the car and a spare set up using the A arms knocking around if you want some pictures of the set up.

That top pic is exactly what i had in mind. How do these cars handle then? And also whats the do with the MOTs? SVA?

if it were me id buy a mk1 mr2. full cars available on ebay for much cheapness. youve got your a series why not fiddle with something else. lol

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

hmm it has crossed my mind but the complications are increased! plus the mr2 hubs, wider stance ect ect

what about a z cars trailing arm setup.

ive done it, pretty straight forward.

only downside is that you cant run 10s!

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Mike look at the mgf rear sub frames.

You will need to cut it down to bring the track inline with the front.

Get the hubs re drilled.

Then its a case of mountings and gear linkage. Oh and drive shafts of course.
