I must confess, I don't know anything about the APT cam other than they sell it. I can tell you that Anton uses an engine analysis program that is pretty accurate at predicting the power difference between cams, so if he quotes you a difference, it will likely be accurate. In January I will be purchasing the fully upgraded version of Engine Analyzer Pro and I have enough A series airflow measurements to get good results. Has anybody on this board been running this program and helping members with their power estimates? When I used to do dyno tuning I found the program was very accurate and it has had 15 years of development since then.
Anyway, I am not trying to sell APT cams, and whoever said "all you have to do is turn up the boost" is pretty accurate. The car is always FUN to drive when you hear the supercharger wind up!

I got Kent Cams to cut me a billet cam to agreed profiles for the price of an off the shelf cam, just over £200.

The profiles were existing A Series but arranged to my spec. Hence Kent had no design work to do.

Crock, the problem with Engine Analiser Pro is that it could not handle the siamese ports or turbocharger manifolds when I last loked at it.

For the old DOS version of Engine Analyzer I used the "single plane manifold" model with a 1" runner length and got excellent results. The A Series with a single carb is very similar to a V-8 with a single plane manifold.

Australia oi oi oi!

Well the re13 was made by Graham russel in Australia pretty much all the lads here in oz run the re13T made for a turbo.

He has made a new cam now called the re83 it has massive torque but runs out of puff at around 6k all the guys running bens sc12 kit including me have bought the re83T cam you must specify if it is for a charged or turbo car.

A cam c ost 110au for the grind or a billet is about 200au from memory that's about 80 pounds then postage will work close to the same so all up maybe 120 pounds and a much better cam.

This is with a vmax kit same cam re83T
How about 155HP @ 6500 rpm on the dyno with approx 13lb boost
142.8 ft/lb torque @ 4500 rpm

I have the same cam but the australian sc12 kit like Graham and apbelamy.

These cams drive lovely on the road great for everyday and with a blower fly.

Just look at the re13 that you now sell over there, that's a Graham Russell cam and it trumps every road cam and drives like a normal car, was a big review in mini mag on the cam.
