ive recently recieved an avonbar ph2 kit which comes with the correct springs for the job.

when i spoke to avonbar they recommend 1.3s and also say theyve had good results on standard rockers.

think thats right anyway, give um a call they just tell you

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

My 2 pence... Always use the rocker ratio the cam manufacturer recommends. This is because they design the cam to work best with a certain ratio, usually Std 1.3. With uprated cams the ramp is usually a lot steeper and the springs a lot stronger, then you stick 1.5's on top your asking for trouble!

Definately agree with that statement, the only thing I will add is that the Kent MegaDyne range of cams were designed around 1.5 ratio rockers, but will work just as well with 1.3 rockers.

just to add, the fitting of 1.5 rockers in genrall on a turbo motor only gains a "shade" at the top end of the RPM band.

the shear shove of the turbo motor happens between 3 & 4500 rpm

Don't be afraid to use/try what you have. For example, much is written about the avonbar phase 2 cam being the dogs danglies, but my engine has an older grind called the AR13T, and I am also using 1.5 rockers, as I also have these. We will have to wait and see if it produces the goods or not.

plus matt changed to a ph2 and lost 30 bananas! his cam is pretty special though i believe

gav, i think that mat had a phase 2 and fitted a phase 3 and then lost 30 hp

Yes Ben your sort of right about the loss, just not used a phase 2 cam.

Oh yes

I read somewhere that 1.5 on the exhaust and 1.3 on the inlets might work,could be worth a go if you have a them lying around
