I'm running 10's with 8.4's. discs are now 7.9", the callipers have been machined a little and the mounting holes redrilled. Came off a mates racer and have been fine so far.

I'm surprised at the lack of ney sayers everywhere I have read about this recently as it was slated soo badly when I was doing mine
but I've done a fair few miles on mine with no probs and encouraged lots of people ,even located calipers for people to get them started :)
keep up the good work posting about them Lads and before you know it overpriced S discs will be a thing of the past Lol

Hi,
It's only through trying things out that seem totally mad, that we move forward with innovation and the like. Not to mention saving the hard earned pennies! *wink*

it is nice and easy the hardest part is locateing calipers and drive flanges *wink*

and I doubt you'll fine anyone doing this conversion to sell in kit form due to the liabilities if it did go wrong
but you can hope I guess *wink*

im pretty sure thats each

im getting tempted with this conversion, my brakes could do with upgrading

i noticed this pic

why has this side been machined? is it just so that its a flat surface to mount the caliper to? a minimal skim?

The reason I don't like the Fiesta calipers is because they are sliding ones. I just DETEST sliding calipers. Rubbish, crap, shit etc... They are taken from the cheapest kind of car as well.

there are plenty of faster, heaviey and more expensive cars than the fiesta Though Vegard many bmws ,mercs, even my misses golf gti 16v etc use single pot sliders
now I admit it does feel like a step backwards logicaly but the price differnce between the fiesta and S setup is enough for me on a seriously low budget
and of course you can see I am not the only one who is more than happy with the stopping capabilites of this setup
but of course everyone has there own opinion *smiley*
