I like it for everyones moaning

its a friendly show where everyone catches, spend the sat fiddling around and then getting drunk in the evening, before everyone gets a bit serious on the sun

im not into static shows at all, they bore me, and so i can appriciate how people dont enjoy avon. If yuor not running, have a mate running, or a keen interest in 1/4mile then id imagine its a trifle dull

How much is it for a non participating entry? Is there a point when the entrance fee goes down as all I really want to do is put a few names to a few faces and look under a few bonnets .... if I'm there 2 hours it'll be because I forgot where I parked .... LOL

To be honest it isn't the type of event where we are all going to line up with name badges on and stay in one place all day, there will be plenty of people knocking about and most will happily chat to you. Due to the nature of it most people will be moving about all day to watch various cars run, or to help people out running cars etc etc...

I think this year is going to be THE year.

Just think how many Bimmer twinky's are going to be running in almost all the A series classes, and how many are going to be turbo

Having seen my diary for the next few months there is noway I'll have the Clubman finished by then, even my goal of Combe is looking doubtful.

Or do you mean that I'll break the British Open again and have to trailer it home.

Same entrance fee for everyone, its quite dear as well, £15-odd?

thats the usal price for car shows...
ill be there just to watch and try to find you lot for a chat and look over the minis etc. should be a good day out.

So if I read that right if you want to go for the weekend and run your car both days it's going to cost to £60 ....... and not a corner in sight!!!!! Is it always that much?????? Seems like a major, major, major rip off to me!!!!!!
How much total running time do you get over the weekend? Assuming that you do on average 15s runs (hopefully for you faster) you would have to do 30 runs to be the equivelent of a 5 lap session at Combe (assuming a 1:30 lap ... again hopefully faster). That would cost about £25 or so .... really doesn't seem to make sense the amount they are trying to charge....

I was planning on coming along on the Sunday for no other reason than to say hi but I'm not sure I'm going to get my £10 worth let alone the £60 they are expecting you to pay to use the strip for two days.

Genuinely shocked, ney horrified!!!!

It is unfortunately always that much yes, I think mainly down to Avon Park's entry fees.
