Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Here are a few pics of the river Don near to my house. This is about 15 miles downstream from Sheffield and Rotherham. It's all looking a bit dodgey. Next high tide is around 4am. tomorrow. These were taken just after low tide this evening.
As you can see in one of the pics the river is aready over the bank.
We will have to see what happens in the morning.
Hope the dam holds for you Tom and all the other locals.
It's a bit of a Bastard in't it.
Regards
Dave

Anyone want to move to Southern California? It hasn't rained even one drop for the last 3 months....but we will eventually fall into the Pacific Ocean!

I'm OK personally, but go less than 1/2 a mile down the hill and there are houses with 4" of water in.
Certainly brings it home to you how lucky you are not to have to suffer it.

Yep a few are, they are just starting to let people back into their houses now.

However apparently we're in for the same rain again on Saturday, bloody hell....

It's been a nice day today in Bristol! Sunshine and everything. Even got some welding done on the mini. Unfortunatly this weather's not going to last :(

They don't seem to do that here in Cali. They just 'suggest' you don't use the hose during the daylight hours...and no one listens. When I lived on the east coast, near Washington DC, we would get hose pipe bans each summer!

I was thinking about you guys and your rainy situation today....while I sat at the beach in 29C weather.
