So where does everyone's money sit..

Looking at the reports I think McLaren and Ferrari look good. I dont think the BMW drivers sounded very unsure about the car...

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

my money sits for it to be close between ferrari, mclaren and BMW.

i think Renault will be rather high this year if not suprise everyone and do seriously well!

driver wise, Vettle and Alonso are my top drivers for 2009.

i like the look of the Williams, would love it if they came forward.
the last time they had such a big shake up of the rules, Williams went backwards and Mclaren came forward...........

Kimi Raikkonen did well in that Artic Rally 13th in a Punto, Hakkinen 19th in a Mitzy. Now thats multi skilled driving!

Have you not seen the state of the renault car, it's struggling to even make it into the speedtrap times as its soooooo slow!

chassis isn't too good either! *Rofl!*

I think that Williams have a good car this year, and the kers system they are running i think may give them a boost. Renault looks nice but looks can be decieving!!

Last time there was a big shake up of rules McLaren came forward because of Newey. Now Red Bull have him I would not bet against them making good progress.

I always have a feeling about a car from when I first see it. My feeling was that the Renault was a pile of shit, and testing so far has confirmed my thoughts.

Mclaren look good, Ferrari looks half finished.

Hurrah, Button has a drive. I wonder if it will be any good. Really looking forward to this year. I've even nearly got used to the quirky looks of the cars (well except the Renault)

Yep, was just reading about that on PH - no mention of Nick Fry either, which is a good sign!

im wondering how long Brawn gp are going to last. sounds like they really had to scrap the brawl to get the funds. now that its a bit unsure whether sienna is racing with them, it look ever worse as most the funding came from brazilian sponsors

That new red Bull looks very fast.. but also a little too complicated, i bet it will be down to if it all works..

Really glad JB is racing again, Ross loyal to RB as well :)
Lets face it Ross was major player in Schuey's success, and the best technical bloke in the business. Saved a few hundred jobs too!

What a fucking stupid new system of the most race wins wins the championship.

It's going to look daft that the leader of the chamionship might have less points then second or third place.

a graet move imo, a chance to see more drivers trying to win the race at the end of the season

But the season could be over half way through. Matemeatically it is possibel for someone to win the chamionship with two wins and 34 points and second would go to someone with no wins and 136 points (or would they get second as they never had a win?).

It's bollocks

it would have ment that clean face, daddy's boy hamilton wouldn't have won last year though!

Anyway, in light of recent testing, im changing my prediction for the 2009 champion.

my money is on Jenson 'a proper F1 driver with facial hair, boats and more women then he can shake a stick at' Button :)

i think it will make each race more exiting to watch but i think its a completely arse about face way of doing it!!!

should have just increase the points for 1st place to make it more valuable.

very consistant drivers like Kubica will suffer under the new ruling i think.

I think its the most shitty idea the FIA have come up with! No other motorsport I can think of does it.
I've always said they should look at the American's way of points. Points for leading a race, pole position, finishing a race etc. Gives the lower teams valuable points, especially if they have reliable cars.....and sponsorship money...points means cash.

Edit..someone at work said what about weight added to winners & reversed grid. I think its unfair system also, its like giving Tiger Woods a broom stick to play golf because he was successful.
