Then through the external pipe to the filter and then back into the galleries. Sprocket has noted the MPI blocks are different, relief/regulating valve after the filter - which is a good modification - but all "standard" blocks are the same to my knowledge, regulating valve before the filter. See Vizard Page 428 for a diagram. Vizard isn't allways right but, to the best of my knowledge, that diagram is right for all pre-MPI blocks. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

Just a note about your oil cooler above the engine. I mounted mine like this once, years ago. The car drove for a day with good oil pressure, then the oil pressure dropped right off. I had that engine out & stripped three times looking for the problem, & couldn't find anything wrong. Tried everything. Moved the oil cooler lower & hey presto !

Cheers phil, this was more than likely the original cause of the problem, but i think some damage has been done, so for peace of mind im going to pull the engine before anything else dies. My plan is to drill a hole in the thrusts too, ala carl austin style. Also whilst out im going to sort out the engine bay as everything is caked in oil and chips. So this will be sorted. Should have it back on the road within 2 week. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.
