love the car it looks super, really nice.

I see you have fitted a magnet in the oil feed to the pump, you'll find that that does NOTHING at all, i've had one like that one mine and have taken it off, as there is never any thing on there to worry about. *wink*

Hi, car looks really nice but I have a question regarding the suspension set-up. I am thinking of ordering the RSX520 kit from minispares.

Do you have any clearance problems at the rear using 13 inch superlites? thinking more the inside top and the spring?

clerance of the coilovers to the wheels is fine, so long as you use the drums with the 1" spacers. you might have to modifiy the inner arch itself to accomodate the larger shock/spring. also if you are thinking about going really low on the rear then i suggest you "tub" the rear arches (remove the curving down bit of the outer arch).

Thanks for the info. My plan is to replace the very old spax adjustables, the original ripspeed hi-lo's! and ageing cone spring rubber.

Would you ever look 'back'? or are you convienced your current setup is the betterbest solution?

no much has been done lately. so i thought i would replace my rusty a-panel and fit a new intercooler.

this was the state my a-panel was in, so thought its only best to renew the panel.

the rust behind it. all removed and the metal that was left was treated.

new panel on, lined up. its a non-genuine panel so it took abit of fiddling but its on now.

some rust proof hammerite primer. lets hope it does its job.

and final colour on.

also decided to get a new intercooler that could fit directly behind the grille. this one was from an audi a3 or a4. fits a treat plus its right in the airflow so should keep the air cool!

also fitted my oil cooler. because its summer my oil has been seeing close to 100oC on the warmer days (not that we'll get anymore!).
