Well, picked up my Bandit at 5 today, was meant to just bring it straight home, but found myself ton the other side of the island 30 mins later, and back again after that lol

love it!!

was going into Peel from tynwald, a massive long unlimited staright with no traffic so thought, may as well give it some beans, was going literally as fast as a dared go, was expecting to hear a sonic boom any minute, a quick glance down confirmed i was doing a grand total of......

60mph lol

still ace fun though!

cool, is that a cagiva?

cheers nic, the island is a bit of a time warp, some class number plates over here, as they all used to have 'MAN' in there somewhere, so there are cars with 'BAT MAN' and 'FAST MAN' and my favorite (im sure youll agree) 'ASS MAN'

Ben, any updated on that badboy?

Right, as its easter, its time to get the bikes ready for summer abuse

Ordered a new chain and sprocket set for the bandit, dropping down a cog at the front from 14T to a 13T to make her a bit more entertaining.
Also ordered a scottoiler as everyone seems to be jizzing themselves over them and I do get lube paranoia

Re the dirt bike, yesterday i fitted an alloy throttle tube with o-ring seal and internal roller bearings as im sick of cleaning and replacing the crappy plastic tubes for them to just fill up with dirt again as soon as i drop it

fitted new chain and sprockets on her too as they were beginning to look a bit hooky

On the dirt bike, what tyre pressures should i run? I usually whack about 15psi in, but saw a lad putting 30psi in his wheels at the garage the other day?

He had a van full of bikes and looked to know what he was doing but isnt that rather alot amount for knobblies?

Scotoillers are a great idea, but you really need to keep an eye on the flow rate. The flow seemed to change on mine all the time... I think it was the temperature.

On my latest bike, I didn't bother with one. I'd rather keep an eye on every so often...

'97, owned from new. Maxed many times on the autobahns, completed dozens of track days (including the 'Ring) and loved to bits *happy*.
Shame I don't really use it as much as I'd like to these days :(

tasty, got any pics of that steering damper

id like one for mine, at about 100 i get a bit of a speed wobble and havent a clue how to get rid of it, the wheel/chain alignment is good (use one of those lasers to get it spot on), the wheels are perfectly balanced and true? spoke to a few people and they say that sometimes this just happens due to harmonics and to just man up till 110 when it dissapears lol

but im finding it hard to track a damper down that fits without serious modification? yours seems to go infront of the top tree which is a place i havent considered yet

Maybe steering column axis vs rear axle axis is not square ?
=> blame the frame

Maybe your rear axle ball bearings are shot ?

Maybe your bars are a little off center ?

Maybe your bars weight are not the same weight ?

I had concern with the road holding on mine and found out afterwards the tire pressure was shamefuly low ...

Anyway, it's sold now and I got myself a dad's bike : Beemer from 81' !

Hi guys, Ive got a 1990 FZR100R Exup which I've had for 6 years now. Always wanted one since I was 16 when these first came out. I had an MBX50 at the time and used to drool at these in the bike shop window!

I've taken it to the TT, Nurburgring, Monaco, Barcelona, done trackdays at Brands, Goodwood, Castle Combe, Malory Park and Cadwell too.

Had a few others before this... RD400's, CBR600's, Blade and a few more.

Also have 4 350LC's :)
