Its not a racer, its just for fun, besides this is how I will be using the car and it'll give a better idea of what it can do full trim. I don't expect to win anything, the engine spec is not at all impressive, plus its SPi

Its not oing for the MOT on thursday now as I have come across a problem wit the brakes. One of the unions is bolloxed, so I am now waiting on a new brake line, also still got the boot bonnet, doors and arches to paint as well as finnish the build on the engine and gearbox

As for better than new, once ive finished waxing up the sills it will at least last longer. Still a few dents here and there, but i wasnt arsed with them, just as long as it was at least all one colour and shiney.

honestly mate that is absolutly georgeous, i am very jealous. if i had lots off money i would love a cooper sport pack with my turbo engine. that is something ill have to do ina few years time yet tho. cant get over the car. nice one

I've just bought the wax oil kit with the probe, so gonna do inside the sills, screen corner closings, etc , just gonna gloss the outer sills up first before they get goo on them as well. I hadn't realised the wax oil actually kills rust as well as preventling it. If you think about it all the internal steel (ie inside sills etc) is practically bare, especially where its been spot welded.
