Right me and the wife have been working hard on the car as it stands,

.Eng is all in (Yet to fire it up)
.brakes all done just need to fine tune the handbrake
. Exhaust all on just a bit of a bracket to make for the back box

Had a play with the shocks and 10mm Wheel spacers are a bit close and i need bigger studs to go to 15mm

I think i will get up tomorrow and drive down and get a set of 19mm when they open.

Simon, 2 things, one is a silly question, do you have the offsets the right way round on the coilovers?
And the thin steel gussets in the top of the wheelarch which are either side of the coilover mounting hole usually need splaying out so the coil can sit properly in place, though I doubt this will help your problem

I seriously doubt it!

Yes the coilover is right mate and yes i knocked that bit out to fit them in, i thank its the offset of the wheels as there are 4.5x10 minilife which is a cooper offset me thinks.

I know that Rosepetals wont fit with coilovers - without arches

I seriously doubt it!

I have those wheels and they do sit everything in board so you don't have to run arches. Next stop Carl Austin?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

This week has been a mad week on the car to get it to the TM RR day

As i have been flat out with work and wasn't getting away until around 17.00 most days.

Monday, was spent making some sort of rear subby to move the car from my shed to the house. So i ended up zip tying the back of the subframe on as I could not find the bits.

Tuesday, I got most of the engine in and all went well apart from splitting a cv boot.

Wednesday, I got a bit more done

Thursday, the big box came from KAD and i ended by getting it on the car and it was binding up.

Friday, got away from work early so got lots done and ended up working on it until 22.00.

Saturday (RR day) got up early o'clock and got the eng finished. Then i went to Moss and was there for when it opened at 09.00, got the wheel spacer kit. When i got back I pissed about with it and got the wheels on and text andy to say i will see you soon. Then as i was putting the oil in, as i went to start it up and it wouldn't fire up*frown* so off i went in a mad rush to get some new fuel, put it in and it fired up. I drove it up the street and Bang!!!! the worst sound i have ever heard from it*surprised* so at that point i sat and had a drink in the shade, gave robert a call and he said it could be my gear linkage. So off i went to have a play with it and as i was doing up the nut on the UJ, Snap, and the yoke sanpped ooo F###ing B~~~~~ Ball~~g W???erand more words like that, then i just went in the shed to chill out and clean up all the tools.

So it looks like i will have to cut the make some new turrets on the back and Piss about with the tanks.

My old subby was 36Kg and the new setup is 17.60kg so not a bad saving

thanks simon.

sometimes mate its surposed to go like that, it just wasn't on your side. Had the same thing going to combe got the car back from the paint ship at 17:00 the night before spent until 23:00 cleaning it and then it wouldn't start 12 hours later. ( she wounld leave me alone in the garage incase I took a hammer to it)

The wife said it was how it was meant to be, I might have stuffed it on the track.

Bad luck mate! And that will be why I couldn't see it on the KAD website. Do you know if they plan on making them a product?
