After loking at others setups at Avon its looks like front mount is the way to go.

Round front or clubby? In a clubby its quite feasible and just needs the grille panel cutting back.

i use a side mount 4 core rad with additional electric fan and have no problems (dont even really need the extra fan exept on very hot days in stationary traffic).

How about just running a secondary rad matt, tons of people do that. |

we have a turboed mini here in Norway (dars here on this forum owns it), that has a front mounted intercooler behind the grill. He was using a side exit dizzy cap, and did have room for the IC. |

matty , i use a metro mk 1 rad ,the thick one ,as a front mount ,without the grill being moved , i use a side exit dizzy cap on a points dizzy ,and a home made fan very slim , i moved the alternator up about 5 inches , but i have got an auto subframe and ive heard that makes a diff althuogh iv no idea what ,my carb box is about 4 mm away from the bulkhead speedo plate .

fit that oil cooler i gave u, ul be very surprised how much difference running an oil cooler makes to the whole temp of the engine!

some miglias still have dizzys, they have frount mounted rads. Also JF has a front mounted rad with a dizzy, so yes it it possible On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

oil coolers make a ton of difference, i need to get one for my VR. That was really cooking on the way home from avon. Had to have the heater on full the whole way home... not good!! |

Let me know how much room there is as i have an mpi rad and fan sitting in the garage. I will get the tape measure out and give you the dimensions if that helps?

offered it up last night....i think it will just fit with some 90 degree Ht leads, and cut the front valance and slam panel a touch.

dont forget engine movement. after looking at my engine when on a rolling road, i would say you need a good amount of space for movement.
