Its taken a while but I got it !!
I know its looks like a monster truck at the moment but it does have adjustables on it so I will be plopping it back down very very soon !!!
Its pretty quick as well as the engine has a pretty big spec ( if its not all bullshit !!! )
I am in love

Steve, PM me the reg number, I am fairly sure that car used to belong to my friend Stuart, who was the guy that originally restored it. He used to run Evesham Mini Centre. If it is the car I think it is, then it used to have a 1400cc MiniSport engine in it.
If it is the one I think it is I can put you in touch with him, I know he will be pleased to hear of his old Mini! I actually drove it just before he sold it and it was great fun!

that is lovely, 2 cars i really want one day: An ERA, and a mk1. Just lose the blue hoses and it'd be perfect imho.

It did not have the blue hoses, white dial faces, or "S" badge on the bonnet when it belonged to my friend, and looked all the better for it!

the white dials are going for sure -

When I get round to painting it again I will remove the s badge as sadly The bonnet has been drilled ( and is rusting ) to mount it !

Hoses are going !!

Steering wheel is going !

Oh yeah ; and the engine will be GREEN !

Tom - I have made contact with your pal - Thanks !

must say i agree on loosing the white dials!!!

WTF are they all about? and that goes for on new cars too!

the blue hoses are a bit wrong but i could live with them as they're not going to give out in a hurry,

one thing that would annoy me though is the odd couresy light switches!!*laughing*

Yes it was restored, but probably getting on for 10 years ago, which just goes to demonstrate the quality of workmanship put in to doing it. I can remember it was done when I first met Stuart, which was in 1997.

This was my old Mini. I sold it 2 years ago. Someboby has done a few tastless changes that I see are going to be changed back like those blue hoses! Also the current tyres do not suit the car. When I had the car there was black dials and a nice black steering wheel. I had the Minis ride height very low with the the spax adjustables set hard and it handled great (also a bit bumpy).
Looking at the detail in the engine bay on the photos I have noticed some changes to when I had it and also it is not as clean and tidy. Still looks ok though. The engine was quite quick. It looks like it has now gone to a good home. Some days I wish I still owned it.
