number of teeth on 1st gear?

Hi, just a quickie,

How many teeth should there be on both of the 1st gears (if that makes sense).

Trying to work out if mine is Clubman set or long 1st gear!

clubman set use a standard first gear but with a extra tooth on the layshaft hope that helps

Ive got a SC gear set but im not sure which type it is?

Do you know how many teeth are on the standard first gear?

Im not 100% sure if im counting the right ones, but one gear had 25 and the layshaft had 19, does that sound like the right gears? they were the nearest to the idle gear or clutch end?

a nice one I tried all sorts of things in the search section. Never thought to put 'cog' into the search. lol

I'll do some counting tomorrow and see what it ends up at.

this was your ratios Dangerous. Is this the standard SCCR box ratios or Clubman?

Layshaft 15 19 23 25
main shaft 29 25 22 19

Ratios 1st 2.53
2nd 1.7
3rd 1.24
4th 1.1

diff 59/19 I work the diff out to be 3.1:1?

Ive also looked at the crosspin diff. The spacing between the planets gears is unequal,i asume that means it is a minispares diff?

The drive in 4th is 1:1 straight through.

All xpins have the planets slightly off square, if the cross pins are held in by a single allen bolt then it's a Tran-x or Minispares (MS is a copy of the Tran-X) if held in by push pins then it more likely to be minispeed or minisport

I had a look to see where the planets were held in but couldn't see anything, Im guessing they must be located under the crownwheel?

Is there any other identification marks on the m.spares diff?
