Hello all
does anyone happen to know what size spanners are need to make adjustments to a hilo kit ??

I think the adjustablr rod is 1 inch but I am not sure about the lock nut

measure the flats on the the nut and there you have it!

The lock nut should be the same size as the adjustable bar as far as I remember!

I guess different manufacturers would be different though.

Get your very-nears (vernier) out, easiest way.

Did you ever find out which sizes are needed, just iunstalled mine and forgot to think of checking that before AI started.., 1 inch seems about right for the adjuster but wahts the lock nut?

the proper rac jobbies from minispares are 28mm and 32mm

OK Thanks..

FYI I seem to be seeing around 1/4" lowering for each full turn of the nut. In the end I was surprised how much room there was to swing a spanner and an adjustable did the job.

Its soooo nice to hit bumps in the road and not get the scraping noise and burning rubber smell!! Plus I think the rates are better, seems to be a smoother ride.. or is that my imagination?

Yeah they're a different radius on the top which alters the spring rate, apparently...
