hasanyone had conectiob probs and how did you fix it,

heres the story,

i just had my puta updated and a cosha XP disk installed, annd a good clean up,

i reinstall the waqnadoo modem software ,but the fooker wont play ball, , i have one green lihght and one flashing , according to the literature this light sequence meens i am waiting for linr acctivation, but ive had it for 2yrs already so this cannot be the case, also my wireles router is working fine so i know i have no probs with my connection , it appears that my main puta cannot connect as i mkep getting a no dial tone detected error report,
our good friends in india areinaudble useless twats and i cannot get to speek to an english person .
the dick in india are trying to tell me i may have a faulkt on my line,it was working ok before i unplugged the puta 5 days ago so they are talking crap.

rather than wait a few days to see if both green light go to solid can anyone help, but as usual no guessing please my heads gone already on this one and i'm getting opised as i cannot access my emails,i{n outlook express,}.

fastcarl, does this modem have two telephone plugs next to each other? if so swap the sockets around and see if it works then.

Ill have a think about this, we have been having loads of problems recently with wanadoo, dropping internet, 3 modems and countless line checks its still happening and its been reported since feb, we also have the head offices number if required

This is how the back of my modem looks, there is the power cable, then internet, then one for a phone (got a phone package with it)

Hi,
If your computer says no dial tone error it's set up for a dial up connection, not your broad band.
I'm guessing that the modem connects to your pc by a network cable?
If so try this.....

When in IE click "tools" then "internet options" then the "connections" tab.
On the connections page 1/2 way down click "never dial a connection" to turn it on.
Then at the bottom of the page, click LAN settings then turn on automatically detect settings.
Click "OK"
Click "apply" on the connections page.
Close IE then open a new IE and you're away.

If it's not a network cable let me know what and I'll try to help.

If all else fails smash fuck out of it with a large hammer and then phone your indian buddy up and tell him it is broken and you require a new one.......

gav, my main pc plugs straight intothe filter thingy, and my router plugs into the other socket in filter,
i'll try what you said when i get my head together as ive had another shite day out at york with the car, but thats another story,lol.
