I have made a batch up of the Turbo decal shown below on my rocker cover. It has been unaffected by the heat of the engine bay and rocker cover, and is also unaffected by water and oil (within reason - I haven't tested it with sustained jet washing *wink*). It is a nice little finishing touch to the engine, especially as there is often a blank place just crying out to be filled :).

All I ask is for £2.50, via paypal, and I will pop one in the post to you. Just PM me with your address, and I will give you my paypal details for payment.

I also have accurate reproductions of the original MG decal for any Metro owners that want to maintain the original look.

The MG decals couldn't get much closer to the original as I spent a lot of time on them, and I was working from an original. I sold a number of them at shows over the summer, and the buyers were impressed.

Oh, by the way. I'm going to paint the rocker cover and then use a high temp clear .... how will that effect your decals??

I might be able to do some other colours. I'll give it a go when I get a moment, and show the results.

The decal should still stick to the clear coat, but it might be worth keying the clear coat up with a fine sandpaper to make sure.

MetroTurbo .... cheers for being willing to put in the extra effort on the alternatve colours, it is appreciated.

When I mentioned clear coat my intention was to apply the decal then clear coat over it. I hav edone this several times in the past on bodywork but this will be my first attempt at doing it on an engine.

Ahh, right. I might be able to do a materials test, but it would be with clear coat out of a rattle can. I am reasonably confident that it will be ok.

I enjoy making them, I find it quite therapeutic in fact, so the extra effort is no problem.

I have had a quick go at these two. I haven't made them yet, just changed the colours on photoshop. What do you think?

Both are great!

I personally prefer the top one, however the bottom one wuld suit the car better.

Let me mull it over but I'm sure I'll ask for one or the other.

What sort of price would they be?

It will depend on how many are wanted, and how successful they come out first time. Let me have a go at making them, and I'll let you know. As a guess, around £4.
