with no wheels.

has anyone done this before, basically i have to shift mine to my other garage about 2 miles down the road.

Problem is, its has no wheels, its also missing the following:

Rear subframe
All glass
Complete interior
Front brakes/hubs
Bonnet
Boot

The engine is in, buts thats about it lol

My theory is to have a person on each corner to lift it onto a trailer, is this possible?

Or is there another way?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i'd say it would be difficult. best thing to do would be to get some sort of wheel's arrangement like a trolley or something to sit underneath to push it onto the trailer. removing the engine would help and doesnt take long as well.

hmmm the trolleys you can hire only have a S.W.L of 200KG....

how about (the car is facing backwards at the mo) Liftinf the front of the car with the engine crane (lifts up to 2 ton's).

Then place some thick wood under the rear of the car (longer then the width), jack that up high, and reverse the trailer under the shell??

lol

Why not put the front hubs and wheel on,then it will be easier

I can lend you some hubs if you need them,or a complete rear subframe.
just to move it

If you can borrow a pallet truck from somewhere they could cope with the weight easliy and are really manoeuvrable. *wink*

When I needed to get rid of my damaged 205 shell I was faced with this, as my garage is at the back of my house and I needed to get it through the car port and to the front of the drive for a dirty gyspy man with a hiab to come and take it away, with bugger all left on it.

I thus came up with this trolley type effort, the uprights have got angle iron channels welded on at the right width for the sill seams to sit in, with a rubber wheels with integral bearings at each end secured to welded stub axles with a washer and large split pin. This allowed me to lift the front of the car myself, and then wheel the whole lot through the car port and onto the drive on my own.

Drop the subframe off the front. Get a Long Wheel Base Tranny Van, stick the shell in the back and transport other items after.#

caryying the car with only two people is possible. i did it with my friend.

However, engine must be out.

If you don't have an engine crane, you can remove the engine alone the front subframe , down...

After that, one of you have to either stand inside the engine base and one behine.

The shell is really light, if you still cannot lift, remove doors , bonnet and trunk lid.
