Just to dig this up, is there any disadvantage to using the vac port on the carb for advance? My MJ box sees vacuum at idle, but it's only about 30 psi (i think, not sure if it's measured in Hg).

the MJ needs to see the vac(or boost) that is present in the manifold at all times to work as it is meant to.

some SU's have the vac hole before the buter fly and some have it after, I think most if not all HIF's have it after, not sure how the butterfly affects the hole on the later ones at part/full throttle though.

Well this is a 1990 car, one of the last few carbed cars surely?

I have driven it at full chat and it certainly drives well, but i've not sat at cruise in it yet. It idles just fine also.

Looking at the positioning of the port, it seems to be after the butterfly, but I cant really tell as I cant see the butterfly.

Can you run dump valve, vac advance and boost controller from one outlet on the manifold or will they need and separate for each component ???

Confessed addiction to everything mini

You can run them all from one if you like, but I like to keep my MAP signal separate from the dump valve etc.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.
