Could any one recomemend anyone to compleatly spay a mini both inside and out for a reasonable price? The mini in question will be fitted with a comprihensive roll cage, if that makes a difference.

Hi, Would have a go yourself if you have a garage. That way (with a bit of practice) you will get the job you want, at a fraction of the cost. I did mine (as a novice) and im more than happy with the finish, and you get a massive sense of achievement at the end.

I would start by sticking 'Paint' in the search function on this site, should be able to get an idea of what’s involved, loads of useful stuff on here.

i also bought a 'how to' type book and got all the techniques from their.

Then you need to find a paint suppler (yellow pages) (or i can recommend one in Telford), they can recommend all the kit you need for the paint like filters, measuring cups, safety equipment etc..

you will also obviously need a Paint gun, and a compressor. If you don’t have a high power compressor you can rent one of these for a weekend / week.

stig if you can transport the car i can recommend someone in coventry, not me although i can paint, i have'nt the facilities anymore, i can speak to him monday if thats any good, painting a car is'nt that difficult if you have a garage & the investment in a compressor & equipment is worth it as you can use it for lots of jobs on your car

the body guy i know may be able to sort car transport to, he's a reasonable chap price wise, you just have to be pushy to what you want in the job,

Near Daventry, midlands

im doing it myself in about a weeks time, doing the primer next weekend and should be shortly followed by the top coat the next day. I'll be doing it in 2 pack, but have got a filterbreather thingie to protect myself, otherwise forget 2 pack and stick with celly.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

i found 5 litres of black (cant remember which kind i.e gloss etc) and 2.5 litres of hardener for £55 on ebay. also do differnt colours. i'll be doin my whole shell inside an out in that soon(ish) so i wont be botherin with primer as its black an there be plenty to rub back an recoat as 5 litres should be more than enough!
