carb heat shields( reproduction) need measurments from people

there has been a delay on the heat shields, need to modify the mould slightly, i need the measurments from the float bowl to the bulk head, as mine is pretty tight i need to find out if others are the same, i suspect so cheers

They are always tight (too tight) if the top-steady isn't lengthened.

well thats why im trying to get around it in a way so people who dont have adjustable stuff dont need them but cheers for the comment, to tight is the word for the original one

I think solving that problem could make the heat shield less effective by being closer to the float bowl....

ye i understand this point tottaly, i thought this to but a heat shield is better then none at all, plus i am trying to make it so every one can use it, eg it does have some adjustment on it

I'd say adjustable is the way to go. Hope someone can help you out with the measurements.
