How hard is it to change a diff pin?

Just how hard is it to change a diff pin? Ive been reading and it looks quite straight forward. when putting it back together though is there clearences and things to set that can go wrong?

Im just worried about doing it because when danny did his and put his diff back together it didnt go back together properly, and thought i would ask before i go taking mine apart.

Is it a job that should be left alone without experience? thankyou :):)

its an engine out to be honest

it's pretty easy, the only bit that may give troubles is preloading (shimming) the diff on reasembly, but everythings in the haynes manual.

Can it? Genuine question, as I have always wondered but have always ended up pulling the engine out to work on the diff?

I've never tried it myself, but if you got studs and nuts on the diff cover I'd think it's impossible.
