If it is an injection pump it will probably be fine. Knowing the flowrate and pressure capabilities will help.

AUU 1649 is the part number for the Metro turbo fuel pump (and the Maestro and Montego EFi and turbo).

That looks like the one I bought....

E8603-898L In-line e8603-898l 1 84.99
Electric Fuel Pump
Subtotal $84.99

Go to http://www.efuelpumps.com, they have full specs etc. there. Unfortunately I am only running it into a carb at the moment so can't report on how its working as far as turbo goes, but the specs were fine and the price was even better....Mine was actually for an early Jag XJ, I chose it because the pressure was not daft (3bar), flow was enough (100-160 l/h) and it had regular clamp type inlet and outlet rather than some (probably metric) screw thread, and it was the cheapest!!

Unless it's a 998 cooper it'll be a mechanical pump and not even fit!!

Every day is a school day ...........

How fast and how expensive ...... the same question...

Another, some would say neater, solution is to use the tank from a late model injected car.

I have just paid £70 for a good tank and pump with the under car lines so it's not too pricey and looks very neat when in.

Some will tell you the standard injections lines can't cope but unless your banana number starts with a 2 and has a couple of other digits you'll be fine.
I think the awesome MiniWilliams machine is running Spi lines and is making HUGE power so maybe they are good for 200+ aswell but I have no experience of that personally. (160 most I have run on a SPi tank)

Thanks again for your info Rog.

200 hp is way beyond what I am looking for (at least for the moment *wink*)! I am thinking about 120 broken horses should be good enough for me - how quick did you hit 60 with 160?

Where did you get your injection tank from?

I got my 1st tank from a show, about £30 but the pump was suspect ... turned out ok though.

2nd one off Ebay, about £50

3rd one from a guy on here £75 with fuel lines included.

0-60 with 160bhp ... quickly *wink*

Car was on a 2.95:1 diff and 13" wheels so not as quick as it could have been but it was my daily driver too!!
