I am looking into making an exhaust manifold and find that the N/A inlet manifold makes it MUCH easier esp. in the area if the centre port. So what's the thoughts out there? any reason not to use a N/A manifold? Edited by Turbo Tel on 29th Dec, 2006. website:- http://www.terryhunt.co.uk

IIRC the "turbo" inlet manifold creates more turbulence than the N/A manifold which helps to keep the air & fuel mixed. I believe on highly polished tubular manifolds there is a tendency for the fuel to be pushed to the sides of the manifold in turbo applications. That said a lot of people here use N/A inlet manifolds and the Mirage kit is designed to use one. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

When boosted....n/a flow figures can nearly be thrown out the window though.
